Port Coogee Village proudly celebrated Children’s Book Week 2025 from 16–23 August. This year marked a special milestone, with 80 years of Book Week inspiring children to explore the magic of reading. 📖
The 2025 theme, “Book an Adventure!”, was beautifully brought to life by feature artist Jess McGeachin, whose illustrations encouraged children to set off on imaginative journeys through books. His artwork reflected the wonder and creativity at the heart of this national celebration.
As part of the festivities, local WA author Renae Hayward hosted engaging sessions at all three centres, delighting little ones with storytime readings of her award-winning titles Say Hooray, Say Hello, and Say Goodnight. Each session concluded with a fun, hands-on craft activity, sparking imagination and creativity for children aged 0–5 years.
